The change of social values system under globalization policy at countryside of Upper Egypt

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the change of social values system under globalization policy at countryside of Upper Egypt, this research was conducted on a simple random sample of 400 respondents in four villages of the Esna and Nag Hammadi centers in Luxor and Qena governorates, Egypt. The data were collected using a personal interview questionnaire form during the period from September to December 2021 AD, and the data was analyzed, and the results were presented on the tabular display with frequencies and percentages, this was done using the Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results showed that:

Respect value was the most affected by using internet and social media with percentage of 73% the affecting was high according to the opinions of 54% 0f respondents، but the direction of change was negative.
Respect value was also the most social value which changed by floating Egyptian pound according of 58 % of respondent، the changing size was high with percentage of 46% and the change direction was negative with 66%.
Cooperation was the mast social value affecting with reducing subsidize of energy based on 62% of respondents’ opinions this change was high with percentage of 41%، but the direction was negative with percentage of 57%.
Respect value was more affecting from illegal rapid earning money with 52%، and the changing size was high according to the opinions of 37% but the change direction was also negative with percentage of 60%.
